Research Interests

Eliminating racial/ethnic disparities in chronic medical conditions. Current projects include examining:
-Perceived discrimination and quality of care in African and European Americans with diabetes;
-Developing and establishing the psychometric properties of a novel instrument to measure perceived discrimination in medical care;
-Socioeconomic position and perceived discrimination in African and European Americans
