elcome. Established in 1998, the UAB Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research and Education (COERE) is a designated University-Wide Interdisciplinary Research Center. The COERE's mission is to promote outcomes and effectiveness research at UAB, in the state of Alabama, and across the nation.

As a multidisciplinary center within a state-of-the-art academic medical center, the COERE is in a position to serve as a resource to UAB research faculty, the health care industry, government, and others to aid in the development and implementation of generalizable outcomes research for improving the quality and cost-effectiveness of health care.

The COERE offers integrated scientific expertise and experience in all areas of outcomes and effectiveness research, including: quality measurement, outcomes measurement and technology assessment, decision analytic modeling, outcomes management and tracking, clinical guideline development and implementation, retrospective claims data analysis, cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit analysis.
