Other Chronic Diseases including Cardiovascular, Diabetes and Obesity
The faculty associated with this program area include physicians in internal medicine,
preventive cardiology, and nutrition sciences; behavioral scientists; epidemiologists;
and biostatisticians. Current research programs include CVD/risk factor epidemiology and prevention,
genetic epidemiology of hypertension and atherosclerosis, osteoporosis epidemiology and treatment,
osteoarthritis epidemiology, and diabetes care and weight loss interventions to prevent CVD, among others.
