
MHRC Overview
The Minority Health & Research Center (MHRC) is a comprehensive educational, research and community outreach center focused on eliminating the health disparities of racial/ethnic minorities.
The UAB Minority Health and Research Center (MHRC), provides UAB and community researchers with an infrastructure to develop research initiatives aimed at eliminating racial/ethnic health disparities, career development and training activities, and community outreach in health initiatives. Through the MHRC, faculty will gain access to the necessary resources that will enhance and develop their skills in minority health research, education, and medical service. This support, plus access to the specific services of the MHRC programs and cores will greatly enhance faculty opportunities and success in obtaining funding for minority health research.
